The whale is the largest creature in the ocean, yet it breathes the quietest breath. Follow that breath, and it leads back to the Earth we live on.
Since studying landscape architecture at Kyung Hee University in 1992, I have worked with the relationship between space and people. Opening Forest Gallery, painting school walls, and redesigning the places where children spend their days taught me that art can change the environment of a life.
Today I paint whales. The dream of the whale is the dream of the Earth, and that dream extends to everyone who stands before the work.

Salt of life, born from the sea where the whale's song lingers
Life lingers in the sea where whales sing. Whale Salt is drawn from that sea, carrying into daily life the environmental message the artist has conveyed through painting.
When we remember that a single grain of salt came from the ocean, we become those who protect it.

In October 2023, the 'Dream of the Whale' ESG environmental art presentation was held with the UN NGO International Green Humanity Organization.
Art speaks through the senses rather than slogans. In the moment we pause before a single painting, we rethink the sea, the forest, and the air.
